The number one house plan that people think of are definitely ferns. While they are definitely a common plant, they are so for a reason - extremely easy to care for, and all of their varieties ensure that there is a style for everyone!

In general, ferns are extremely easy plants - low to bright indirect sunlight, and water about once a week, making sure that the soil never gets bone dry. As with most plants, be sure to keep your fern away from extreme temperatures (like your heating or air conditioning vent). Be sure to remove any dried or  yellow leaves to maintain the health of the plant.
